CUMBERLAND — Southern awards banquet Wednesday

OAKLAND — The Southern Garrett Athletic Association is holding a sports awards assembly on Wednesday at Southern High School at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. All student athletes of the 2012-2013 year will be recognized, along with those receiving awards from the various team coaches.

All athletes must attend. Their families and friends, as well as community members who are supporters of student athletes, are invited and encouraged to attend.

 

Fort Hill awards banquet Wednesday

CUMBERLAND — The Fort Hill High School sports awards banquet will be held Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., at the Ali Ghan Shrine Club.

Tickets may be purchased from athletic director Paul Green.

 

O’Neal aces No. 15 at Fore Sisters

RAWLINGS — Junior O’Neal hit the sixth hole-in-one of his career Saturday at Fore Sisters Golf Course.

O’Neal aced the 155-yard No. 15 hole using an 8-iron. The shot was witnessed by Bill Hook, Gerald Gordon and George Schoenadel.

 

Ft. Cumberland Legion sets practices

CUMBERLAND — The Fort Cumberland Post 13 American Legion Senior team will practice Tuesday and Wednesday, 6 p.m., at Legion Field.
