CRESAPTOWN — Tyler Heavner went unassisted in the first half and Caleb Snyder copied him during the second to lead Calvary into the Mason-Dixon Christian Conference finals by beating Grace 2-0 Thursday afternoon.
Heavner scored with 29 minutes left in the first half, Snyder added the insurance goal late in the second half and Matt Dillow had two saves in the shutout as the No. 1 seeded Eagles flew past No. 5 Grace and into a meeting with third-seeded Shalom on Saturday.
Calvary outshot Grace 16-3 and held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Eagles (17-3) carry a 12-game winning streak and 15-straight conference wins into the championship with Shalom.
