FSU men finish 5th again at CAC meet

SALISBURY — For the second-consecutive year the Frostburg State men’s cross country team earned a fifth-place finish at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships held at Salisbury on Saturday.

The Bobcats were led by senior Pat Mead who was the first FSU runner to cross the finish line of the 8k course. Mead earned First Team All-CAC honors after recording a season-best fifth-place finish (26:15.60).

Freshman Brandon Redmond was next in 42nd with a time of 27:41.20. Freshman Stanton Higham came in 48th  (27:54.40).

Sophomore Daniil Repchenko finished 69th overall in 28:49.00 and junior Jonathan Stewart was 71st with a time of 28:55.60.

Frostburg finished fifth overall with 153 points. York (Pa.) won with 33 points followed by Christopher Newport (50), Salisbury (85) and Mary Washington (85).
