Darren Durbin rolls his third 300 game

CUMBERLAND — Darren Durbin bowled a 300 game during the Tuesday Night Mixed League at White Oaks Lanes.

Durbin’s third-career perfect game and came as part of a 771 set.

Calvary sweeps Bishop Walsh in volleyball opener

CRESAPTOWN — Calvary started with a 25-6 win in the first game, followed it up with a 25-7 victory and finished the sweep with a 25-11 win over Bishop Walsh in the third game of both teams season opener in Cresaptown.

Shakayla Ganoe led the Eagles with 18 points, including 12 aces, 10 assists, six kills and two blocks. Jada Lowery led the way in scoring with 23 points and added eight aces, three digs and two kills. Kerenne Shaffer added eight kills, four points, two digs and one ace.

Bishop Walsh’s Sarah Rodgers paced her team with four kills and four digs.

Calvary (1-0) plays Tuesday at Broadfording, at 4:30. The Spartans (0-1) get Southern Fulton at home at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
