Logue leads ODC to victory

MT. SAVAGE  — Evan Logue tossed a complete game, struck out 11 and had two of his team’s six hits in leading the  Barrelville Outdoor Club  past Hite Roofing, 7-3, in Rec League Baseball Wednesday evening at Dickel Field.

Logue allowed three singles over the seven innings, yielding a run in the first and two more in the seventh.

At the plate, he came up with a double and a single to aid his own cause. Jack Leydig added a double, single and an RBI, and Micah Stair supplied a two-run single.

Barrelville stays at home to play Personal Best on Monday.

Hite Roofing will play Moose on Friday at Memorial Field.

LAVALE  — Casselman Valley scored eight runs over the first two innings and finished by scoring seven in the seventh in a victory over Personal Best at Femi Field.

Steven Hare finished 4 for 4 with a double and two runs batted in, and Justin Donaldson drove in three runs on a triple, two doubles and a single.

Tyler Mayhew clubbed a three-run home run during the seven-run outburst in the final frame, Ryan Lynch had three RBIs on three singles and Mike Miller had two singles and two RBIs.

Humberson and Hensel doubled for Personal Best.

Hare took a no-hitter in the fifth before being relieved by Tim Garlitz.

Casselman Valley (1-0) will square off against Fort Ashby VFW,  at home, on Monday.

POTOMAC PARK  —  Moose scored six runs in the fifth to break a 2-2 tie, and Jacob Foreman fanned a baker’s dozen for the Moose as it evoked the mercy rule in a 10-run win over the Fort Ashby VFW at Hamilton Field.

Tanner Manning hit three singles and scored two runs, Zac Steckman had two singles and two runs scored and Colton Matthews two singles and two RBIs.

Foreman allowed three singles while recording his 13 strikeouts.

Both teams put up two runs in the third before Moose pulled away in the fifth and finished the evening in the sixth.

Jake Hafer and Colby Joiner singled and scored for Fort Ashby.

Moose (2-0) plays Hite Roofing at Memorial Field on Friday.

Fort Ashby VFW will take on Casselman Valley Wednesday evening in Salisbury.
