MONACA, Pa. — Beaver started out on a 29-11 run, and Potomac State struggled both at the foul line and in the paint in a comeback effort as the Catamounts fell 100-74 to the Titans Monday in Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference basketball.
Andre Anthony poured out a game-high 35 points, sinking all five of his team’s three-pointers, and Nehemiah Fisher scored 25 as the only two Titans with 10 or more points. Andre Jefferson added eight points.
Beaver used the run at the beginning of the night to build up a 58-34 lead by halftime. The Cats struggles from the line and even on layups hampered them during the second half. Potomac State finished 27-for-43 on its free throws.
George Chase scored 17 points as PSC spread the wealth a little more than Beaver. Michael Hatfield with 13 points, Eloka Olisa with 11 and Jaron Farrell with 10 joined Chase in double-figures.
It is the first conference loss for the Cats, who are now 4-1 in the WPCC and 8-5 overall. They play at home against Northern Virginia on Thursday.
