Hyndman’s Lehman to enter hall of fame

HYNDMAN, Pa. — Vohn Lehman, former local baseball star and Hyndman High standout, will be inducted into the Bedford County Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 29.

The induction ceremony, which will be held at the Bedford Elks, begins at 4 p.m. and is open to the public. For tickets or ticket information, contact Bill Creps, Bedford County Sports Hall of Fame president, at 814-623-9691.


Gridiron club meeting tonight

CUMBERLAND  — The Allegany Gridiron Club will meet today at 6 p.m. in the Allegany library.

Plans for this year’s golf tournament will be discussed.


Valley high football alumni meeting

KEYSER, W.Va. — Coaches Tom Harmon and Jack Gilmore invite all former Valley High School football alumni to the Mountaineer Café on Saturday at 7 p.m. For more information call 301-463-62171.


Braddock JCP sign-ups scheduled

CUMBERLAND  — Registration dates for the Braddock JCP soccer teams are scheduled for the following Mondays: May 20, May 27 and June 10.

Each registration will run from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Braddock Middle School cafeteria. All kids who attend Braddock, but do not reside in the Cresaptown area are eligible. New players must have a copy of his/her birth certificate.

Hot Stove board, coaches meeting tonight

CRESAPTOWN — The Hot Stove Baseball League will hold an executives meeting at 6 p.m. and a coaches meeting at 7 p.m. tonight at the Hot Stove Complex at the Allegany County Fairgrounds.


Pee Wee Eagles set registration

CRESAPTOWN — The Cresaptown Eagles Pee-Wee Football/Cheerleading will be holding registrations on Saturday and again on May 18 from 9 a.m. till noon at the Cresaptown Sports Complex on Darrow Ave. under the pavilion by Weber Field.
