Bittinger powers Cork’s Cars

OAKLAND — Bryson Bittinger fired a one-hitter and struck out 15 to power Cork’s Cars to a 9-1 victory over Greg’s Auto Body in Hot Stove League baseball Sunday at Broadford Park.

Bittinger allowed only a fifth-inning single to Mark Potter. He also doubled and knocked in two runs as Cork’s improved its record to 17-2-1.

Broc Lohr belted an RBI double and two singles and scored twice, Peyton Kennedy had two singles and two RBIs, Justin Shaffer hit an RBI single and Brady Merrick singled and reached base in all three of his trips to the plate for Cork’s, which plays again tonight, at Northern, against Grantsville SAL at 6 p.m.
