Robinette, Alco defeat Southern, 8-3

— OAKLAND — Alexis Robinette limited Southern to six hits, while collecting a pair of hits on her own, and the Campers collected an 8-3 win over Southern on Wednesday evening in Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference action.

Camper shortstop Courtney Landis had three singles and Ashleigh Eisentrout added two singles.

Southern was led at the plate by Alicia Roth's home run and single.

Brianna Bosley homered and singled, and Allegany was held to three hits during the Rams’ 19-6 junior varsity win.

Carlee Andrews and Karlee Meyers combined to throw a three-hitter as their offense gave them plenty of run support.

The Rams hosted Bishop Walsh on Thursday afternoon and the Campers lost to undefeated Mountain Ridge, 13-3.

SALISBURY, Pa. — Kennedy Haines drove in two runs on two hits and scored twice for Shanksville in a rout at Salisbury on Wednesday.

Amanda Struky doubled, singled, scored twice and drove in one. Kelsey Foor scored three times for Shanksville.

Emily Lowery drove in two runs in the loss. The Elks were hampered on defense by committing double-digit errors.

Salisbury was at Berlin on Thursday.
