BALTIMORE — Cody Doran finished with four hits and drove in a pair of runs as Allegany College of Maryland eliminated Garrett College, only to have Dundalk do the same to them as both the Lakers and Trojans had their seasons end Saturday at the Region XX Tournament in Baltimore.
Allegany scored three runs in the first inning and four more in the second on its way to a 10-2 victory that finished off the Lakers. Host Dundalk got a solid outing out of Chris Denno to beat the Trojans 8-0 and eliminate them.
Against the Lakers, Doran hit a triple and three singles to go with his two RBIs, and Dylan Corl had three hits with two RBIs. Drew O’Neal knocked in a run with a double and two singles, and Cody Malone got an RBI from his two singles. Rey Adames contributed to Allegany’s 17 hits with a pair of singles.
Ryan Redinger allowed two runs in the first inning, but shut the Lakers down the rest of the way to finish with a 5-5 mark on the year.
Garrett was led by Mike Bolla’s two singles and one RBI.
The Lions shook the Trojans for 15 hits later in the day, being led by Kevin Welks and Spencer Sutton’s three singles. Manny Morrales, Alex Rosa and Andy Shenneck had two hits apiece for Dundalk.
Malone had two hits for the Trojans.
Allegany closes the season at 23-24 and Garrett finishes 23-28.

Lohr helps Cork’s Cars to 4-0 win
Broc Lohr allowed one hit on the mound and had his team’s only hit at the plate as Cork’s Cars scrapped together four runs to shut out Madigan’s Auto Parts 4-0 on Monday at the Hot Stove Complex.
