Cosner, Storey Spring       champions at Fore Sisters

RAWLINGS — Dale Cosner and Tyler Storey won Spring Championships at the Fore Sisters Golf Club.

Cosner won the Senior Division by one stroke over Jim Powell in the two-day event. Bill Schute placed third, two strokes behind.

In the Championship Division, Storey led the field for the title. Kenny Peck and John Crowe tied for second place, one shot back.

Pin winners for the event were Mark Melmed and Mick Lantz (No. 4), Crowe (No. 5), Crowe and Storey (No. 9), Gerald Gordon, Storey (No. 11), Crowe and Rich Parsons (No. 15), and Schute and Skip Sweene (No. 18).

LaVale Lions Pee Wee         football registration today

LAVALE — LaVale Lions Pee Wee football is holding signup today from 2 to 5 p.m. at the LaVale library. Players and cheerleaders ages 6-11 as of Sept. 1 are eligible to participate.

CAYFL Patriots signup Sunday

CUMBERLAND — The Patriots of the Cumberland Area Youth Football League will hold a final registration for interested players on Sunday, at 5:30 p.m., in front of Greenway Avenue Stadium.

Players ages 10-14 and living in the Washington Middle School district are eligible to play for the Patriots.

CAYFL Miners signup Sunday

FROSTBURG — The Miners of the Cumberland Area Youth Football League will be holding registration on Sunday, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Frostburg Community Center on Water Street.

Eligible players are those who attend middle school in the Mountain Ridge school district.
