CRESAPTOWN — Tanner Manning knocked in the go-ahead run with an infield single in the seventh inning to put Moose on top 5-4 to win Game 3 of the Rec League Finals Friday at Memorial Field to win the league championship.
Casselman Valley led 4-3 to start the seventh but issued three consecutive walks to start the inning. An RBI ground out and the infield single put Moose (14-5-1) ahead by one run going into the bottom of the seventh.
Vinny Foreman started and pitched into the seventh, allowing no earned runs. He walked the lead off hitter in the last of the seventh, but was replaced by Nate Souders who proceeded to strike out the side to end the game. Foreman and Souders combined for 10 strikeouts.
Brandon Reed singled three times with two runs batted in in the win. David Bowman doubled, while Foreman singled and scored twice.
Brandon Miller had an RBI single for Casselman Valley.
