Pirates sweep Spartans

PAW PAW, W.Va. — Paw Paw swept Bishop Walsh, 25-16, 25-22 and 25-17 Wednesday night at Paw Paw.

Brooke Shell scored 11 points on serves for Paw Paw with four aces and one kill, while Kaysi Lilly had nine points on serve and two aces. Shiann Groah had nine points, four aces and one kill and Alivia Snyder had eight points, five aces.

For Bishop Walsh, Sarah Rogers led with 11 points, seven aces and seven kills. Andrea Conpaldi contributed seven assists.

Paw Paw (1-0) will host Mount View Christian Academy Friday at 6 p.m. Bishop Walsh (0-3) plays Monday at home against Hancock at 6 p.m.

Hot Stove collects equipment

POTOMAC PARK — The Hot Stove Baseball League will conduct equipment collection Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Hot Stove Complex. All equipment must be turned in at this time.

CAYFL coaches meeting tonight

CUMBERLAND  — The Cumberland Area Youth Football League is holding a coaches meeting tonight, 8 p.m., at the Outdoor Club.

All Division I coaches must be in attendance.
