COLUMBIA — Brandon Lee scored a goal and assisted on two to lead Potomac State to a 3-1 win over Howard Community College, breaking the Dragons’ eight-match winning streak Thursday at Howard.
Chris Ranker put the Catamounts on the board first with a goal assisted by Lee at 20:21 of the first half. The Cats made it 2-0 when David Gogishvili scored at 11:20 on another Lee assist. Howard made the halftime score 2-1 on an unassisted Max Graumann goal at 3:26.
Lee, however, iced the match for Potomac State with an unassisted goal at 12:37 of the second.
Howard outshot Potomac State, 8-7, and had a 2-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Connor Eberly had six saves in goal for Potomac State, while Brennan Werner had two for Howard, which is now 9-4-1 overall and 5-1-1 in Region XX Division III.
Potomac State (13-0-2 overall, 6-0-1 Region XX) will play Montgomery College, the No. 2-ranked team in the country, on Sunday, 3 p.m., at Keyser High School.

Streets steers Keyser’s win
Ryan Streets led five double-figure scorers with 18 points and Keyser built a big lead and held off a furious fourth-quarter rally by Frankfort for a 76-73 win and the Class AA, Region II, Section 1 championship on Friday night.
Good Counsel, McDonogh in BWGIT title game
Good Counsel lost a nine-point lead in the final minute of regulation but regrouped quickly in overtime to defeat St. John’s, 75-66, for a berth in tonight’s Bishop Walsh Girls Invitational Tournament championship game.
Six seek state titles after first day
