KEYSER, W.Va. — Matt Landes shot an even-par 34 and his teammates all scored in the low 40s to help Keyser defeat three teams and the weather Wednesday evening at Polish Pines Golf Course.
The Golden Tornado won its final home match of the season by finishing with 162, 27 shots better than Fort Hill's 189. Mountain Ridge was a stroke back in third at 190 and Frankfort finished with 205.
Jacob Stanislawczyk was second for Keyser with a 42 and Travis Smith and Logan Stanislawczyk each had 43.
Josh Lutton led Fort Hill with a 38 and Pete Jackowski fired a 42 and Connor Poole had a 45. Jacob Timney shot a 41 to lead Mountain Ridge and Justin Wilson had a 43.
Jake Phares led Frankfort with a 41.
The teams were able to get the match officially completed minutes before a severe thunderstorm moved through the area.
Keyser and Frankfort travel to Cacapon Resort State Park for the Potomac Valley Championship on Monday beginning at 10 a.m. Fort Hill plays Allegany and Bishop Walsh at Cumberland Country Club on Sept. 19.
