Local roller hockey players to play for U.S. teams at world championships
LINCOLN, Neb. — Though they didn’t do it as members of the Cumberland Raiders, local roller hockey standouts Scott Ferguson and Miranda Wiseman were selected to play for the national team and Pat Ferguson earned a coaching honor on Team USA after competing with the Boyertown Phantoms at the 2014 Rink Hockey National Championships held earlier this month in Lincoln, Neb.

Bi-State all-stars earn trip to state tourney
SHORT GAP, W.Va. — The Bi-State Little League 10-11 Year-old All-Star team defeated tournament host Jefferson County, 6-0, in the championship of the West Virginia District 6 Tournament to advance to the West Virginia State Tournament, which begins Friday at the Tygarts Valley Little League Complex near Huttonsville.
