Dixie Frenzel [Frostburg]

FROSTBURG - Dixie Frenzel, 51, of Frostburg, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

Born May 26, 1956, in Meyersdale, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Alton Butler and Irene (Baker) Butler. Dixie was also preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Lavin.

Mrs. Frenzel was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Darrell Frenzel Sr.; one daughter, Lee Ann Hawkins and husband Thomas, of Frostburg; two sons, Darrell Frenzel Jr. and wife Karry, of Cumberland and Bobby Frenzel and wife Janelle, of Woodstock, Va.; one brother, Ken Butler, of Frostburg; one sister, Darlene McKenzie, of Boynton, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dixie’s body was cremated in accordance with her wishes.

A memorial service will be conducted in the Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brian J. Hawkins officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services.
