— CUMBERLAND — Veronica Sue Greise, 61, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at her home.
Born June 24, 1948 in Cumberland, Mrs. Greise was the daughter of the late Oscar Vernon Meeks and Reba Elizabeth (Scott) Meeks and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A graduate of Fort Hill High School, class of 1966, Mrs. Greise retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Allegany County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of “The Never Too Late Girls.”
Veronica is survived by her husband of 41 years, Lawrence F. Greise; her sons, Donald J. Greise and wife Sheila, of Cumberland; the twins, Matthew G. Greise and wife Chris, of Bedford, Pa., and Mark F. Greise and wife Connie, and Shawn A. Greise and his special friend, Angie, all of Cumberland; as well as five grandchildren, Rachael, Jeremy, Kadie, Mason and Taylor.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, June 28, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bernard Finerty, O.F.M., Cap., officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
