FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Jean Marie (Hamilton) Green Lawrence, 79, of Fort Ashby, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at the Braddock Hospital.
Born Feb. 11, 1930, in Westernport, Md., she was the daughter of the late Herbert Austin Hamilton and Mildred Virginia (Cheshire) Hamilton Flick.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ashby Lawrence in 2004; and her daughter, Diane (Green) Fleming in 2004 also.
Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker and belonged to Central Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her stepson, Donald Lawrence and wife Shirley, LaVale; a stepdaughter, Anna Belle Twigg and husband Jim, Cresaptown; a half-brother, David Hamilton, New York; a half-sister, Judy Moyer, Grapevine, Texas; four grandchildren, Jamie Fleming and wife Amy, Cliff Fleming and wife Kris, Teena Baker and fiancé Eddie Andrews and Morris Fleming Sr.; eight great-grandchildren, Zayden and Angel Fleming, Jacob, Max, and Ariel Fleming, Caitlyn Baker, Morris Fleming Jr. and Isaiah Fleming; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. She is also survived by a first cousin whom she considered her brother, Tom Cheshire and wife Rosalind. She leaves behind her little feline companion, Lucy.
There will be a private interment in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
