Tina Nanette (Day) Smith [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Tina Nanette (Day) Smith, 48, of Potomac Park, Cumberland, passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at the WMHS-Braddock Campus.
Born Dec. 12, 1960, in Cumberland she was the daughter of Harold L. and Glenda (Robertson) Day, Cumberland.
Tina was a 1978 graduate of Allegany High School. She was a homemaker and a former nursing assistant in Romney, W.Va. Tina enjoyed fishing and going for drives.
Tina courageously survived a brain aneurysm ten years ago and had been battling cancer for the last year. Her friendly charm and wittiness was unlike any other. Tina will be sadly missed by all.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Thomas L. Smith; two sons, Joshua T. Smith, Cumberland and Ethan A. Smith, Cumberland; two brothers, Rick Day and wife Lorri, Cumberland and Shawn Day, Elkton; three nephews, Dylan, Noah and Ricky; two nieces, Lacey and Emily; a very special friend and caregiver, Denise Brode and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, scarpellifuneralhomes.com on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with James Taylor officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
