SOMERSET, Pa. - A 17-year-old boy was injured in a vehicle crash between a tractor and a commercial truck Monday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The teen was driving a John Deere 2020 tractor around 1:30 p.m. westbound on Pennsylvania state Route 31 when he reportedly attempted to make a left turn onto Windsor Street. William, E Rose Jr., 41, of Somerset was driving a 2005 Sterling TK behind the tractor and reportedly tried to go around on the left side.

Rose reportedly did not realize the juvenile was turning and collided with the tractor. The truck dragged the tractor across the road and off the side of route 31.

The unidentified teen was flown by MedStar helicopter to Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown with life-threatening injuries.
