Virginia Popp (Westernport)
WESTERNPORT - Virginia "Faye" Popp, 80, of 231 Greene St., Westernport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, at her home.
Born Jan. 14, 1926, in Piedmont, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Delos Bernard and Virginia Wilkinson (Ott) Ours. Her husband, Charles Franklin Popp; and a daughter, Virginia Kaye Morris also preceded her in death.
Faye was a retired registered nurse, having worked the majority of her career at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va. She also worked at Moran Manor Nursing Center, Westernport. Faye was a graduate of Piedmont High School and a graduate of Allegany Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church, Westernport. She enjoyed crafts, baking and sewing. She will be deeply missed.
She leaves behind a daughter, Elizabeth "Faye" Morris of Westernport, who was her caregiver; four sons, Charles and wife Patty of Waukegan, Ill., Kevin Popp of Winchester, Va., Greg and wife Susie of Short Gap, W.Va., Gary and wife Tammy of Keyser; one sister, Susie Gannon of Westernport; and one brother, Dallas Ours of Springfield, W.Va. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica Dorsett of Westernport, Dana Morris Jr. of Westernport, Charlie Hartman of Short Gap, Trent Morris of Westernport, Zack Morris of Westernport, Kevin Popp Jr. of Winchester, Danielle Popp of Winchester, Kristie Waters of Hagerstown, Kaci Popp of Short Gap, Lynn Marie Wellings of Lonaconing, Chuck Popp of Waukegan, Rob Popp of Waukegan, Hannah Popp of Keyser, Kristen Popp of Keyser, Jesse Clarke of Keyser, Jenny Popp of Keyser, Charles Popp of Keyser; two special friends, Francis "Sket" Gardine and Elmo, her beloved cat; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Steffan Carr officiating.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
