William “Bill” Donald Robosson [Beans Cove]

BEANS COVE, Pa. — William “Bill” Donald Robosson, 81, of Beans Cove, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 1, 1927 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Joseph Dow Robosson and Rosella (Cherne) Robosson.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Rose (Ruby) Robosson; and a son, Jeffrey “Jeff” Robosson.
Mr. Robosson was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.
He had been a truck driver for Mattingly Construction.
Mr. Robosson belonged to the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 426, the Mountain Amateur Radio Club and the Fort Hill Rifle Club. He was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Survivors include his three sons, William “Jerry” Robosson and wife Judy, Randy Robosson and Clint Robosson and wife Martii, all of Beans Cove; one daughter, June Dolly and husband Harry, Centerville; a daughter-in-law, Cheri Robosson, Beans Cove; a former daughter-in-law, Patricia Baker Robosson, Salisbury, Pa.; one brother, Joseph G. Robosson Sr., Frostburg, Md.; 11 grandchildren, Eric Robosson, Chad Robosson and wife Laura, Tasha Stonestreet and husband Aaron, Jason Ryan and wife Marsha, Randi Lynn Ryan, Danielle Milburn and husband Cory, Torina Stonestreet and husband Eric, J.R. Robosson and Nicole Squires, Heather Robosson and fiancée Mike Bishop, Derek Robosson and Grant Robosson; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ty S. Hullinger officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, where military honors will be accorded by Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
