Michael S. Simons [Elk Garden]

ELK GARDEN, W.Va. - Michael Shawn Simons, 30, of Elk Garden, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital as the result of an automobile accident.

Born March 12, 1978 in Oakland, Md., he was a son of Denver and Patricia (Bolyard) Simons of Elk Garden. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robbie Simons; and his best friend, Bobby Parrish.

Michael was a really nice young man who would do anything for anybody. He loved his Mom and Dad very much and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Michael worked for Clise Coal Company in Frostburg, Md.

Surviving in addition to his parents, is one brother, Denver Simons Jr., and a niece, Victoria Simons, both of Willaboughy, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, Md., on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, July 17, 2008, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald E. Marple officiating.

Interment will follow in Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden.
