CUMBERLAND — On Dec. 29, 2007, Jillian Beth Snyder and Sean Daniel Fradiska were united in marriage. The double ring ceremony took place at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Stephen Yelovich as celebrant.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Leroy Snyder of LaVale and the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Norman L. Barger and Mrs. Eleanor Snyder, both of Cumberland, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Snyder of Grantsville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Daniel Fradiska of Bowling Green and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Fradiska, Bowling Green, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Henderson of Tennessee.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and wore a strapless bridal gown adorned with crystal beading from Alfred Angelo Bridal. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses, red berries, white stephanotis and white calla lilies. The bride wore a pearl necklace and earring set which were a wedding present from the groom.
The bridal party wore black strapless dresses from Alfred Angelo Bridal complemented with a pearl necklace and earring set. The bridal party carried bouquets of white roses and red berries. Cathy Ewing, friend of the bride, provided hair styling for the bride and bridal party.
Serving as maid of honor was Miss Meredith Frances Belt, LaVale, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Carrie Snyder Jaso, Richmond, Va., sister of the bride; Miss Katherine Ann Snyder, LaVale, sister of the bride; Miss Jenny Lee Niland, Hershey, Pa., friend of the bride; and Miss Dana Grace Douglas, Silver Spring, friend of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was Miss Emily Faith Fradiska, Cresaptown, daughter of the groom. The flower girl was Miss Audrey Elaine Helmstetter, Cumberland, niece of the groom.
Serving as best man was Mr. Keith Eric Sager, Leesburg, Va., cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Mr. Forrest Wade Easton, Hagerstown, friend of the groom; Mr. Michael Edward Helmstetter, Cumberland, brother-in-law of the groom; Mr. Lance Brian Golden, Raleigh, N.C., friend of the groom; and Mr. Johnathan Ray Loughrie, LaVale, friend of the bride and groom. The junior groomsman was Mr. Collin Addison Wilt, Cumberland, nephew of the groom.
The organist for the ceremony was Ms. LeeAnn Martin. Program attendants, as well as special readers for the ceremony, were Miss Susan Elaine Helmstetter and Miss Carrie Elizabeth Fradiska, Cumberland, sisters of the groom. Flowers were placed on the altar in remembrance of Daniel and Phyllis Fradiska, grandparents of the groom.
The wedding reception was held at Windsor Hall on the Downtown Cumberland Mall. The hall was decorated with large Christmas trees, garland and wreaths provided by the Downtown Cumberland Committee and large glittered poinsettias from Flowerland, Cumberland. The reception was catered by Oxford House, Cumberland. The formal dinner included beef medallions in a mushroom cream sauce and crab cakes. The wedding cake was a three-tier red velvet, spice and yellow cake with buttercream icing designed to look like a tier of wrapped presents. The cake was made by Lorenzo’s Bakery, Frostburg.

Music throughout the evening was provided by Sounds Fun Entertainment, McHenry. The couple danced their first dance to “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts. Toasts to the bride and groom were given by the best man and maid of honor.
A Sunday brunch was held in honor of the bride and groom by the parents of the bride at Oxford House. Following the brunch, the couple left for a seven-day honeymoon to the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort, Nassau, Bahamas.
A bridal shower was given in the bride’s honor by her bridesmaids at Oxford House. A rehearsal diner was hosted by the groom’s parents and held at When Pigs Fly Restaurant, Cumberland. Guests attended the wedding from Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio, Massachusetts, North Carolina and California.
The bride is a graduate of Allegany High School and a cum laude graduate of Frostburg State University, with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She obtained her master’s degree in business administration from Frostburg State University in 2007. She is currently employed as an accountant/executive assistant at Carl Belt, Inc., Cumberland.
The groom is a graduate of Allegany High School and a graduate of Frostburg State University, with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He is currently employed as an accountant at Carl Belt, Inc., Cumberland.
The couple currently resides on Friendship Court, Cresaptown.
