Bishop, Hohing wedding

CUMBERLAND — Miss Erin Leigh Hohing and Mr. Jason Lee Bishop were united in marriage on May 31, 2008, at 4 p.m. at the Central Assembly of God, Bedford Road, with Pastor Martin Lease officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hohing, LaVale. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bishop, Cumberland.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted down the isle by her father. Music was provided by a string quartet consisting of Patricia Aaron, Charlene Moon, Karen Treber and Clare Cooper before, during and after the ceremony.

Mrs. Stefanie Boggs, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Mrs. Ann Hutzell, cousin of the bride, Mrs. Elizabeth Winters, friend of the bride, Mrs. Mirjhana Buck, friend of the bride, Miss Lauren Clark, friend of the bride, and Miss Hannah Hensel, niece of the bride were the bridesmaids. Miss Jaden Bishop, daughter of the groom, and Miss Macayla Bishop, niece of the groom, were junior bridesmaids. Miss Leah Boggs, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. She was escorted down the isle by her father, Mr. Steven Boggs.

Mr. Richard House and Mr. Brian Van Meter, friends of the groom, were the best men. Mr. Jason McCoy, friend of the groom, Mr. Steve Rice, friend of the groom, Mr. Eric Divelbliss, cousin of the groom, Mr. Jordan Bishop, brother of the groom, and Mr. Ryan Hohing, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. Mr. Jacob Hutzell, cousin of the bride, was the junior groomsman and Mr. Nicholas Bishop, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.

Programs were distributed by Miss Jonna Carter, cousin of the groom, and Miss Melissa Mochan, cousin of the bride.

Guests attended a cocktail reception at the Cumberland Country Club followed by a sit-down dinner and dancing. Music was provided by Queen City Funk and Soul. The wedding cake was provided by Bonnie Goebel. Floral arrangements were provided by Floral World. Hairstyles for the bridal party were provided by Nikki Logsdon.

A couple’s wedding shower was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Larry Boggs and Dr. and Mrs. William Mark and their families at The Hen House. The bride was the guest of honor at a wedding shower given by her coworkers at United Mail in Louisville, Ky. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bishop, the groom’s parents, at the Holiday Inn, Cumberland.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Allegany High School and a 2002 graduate of Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s of science degree in hospitality and tourism management. She is presently employed by ARAMARK at Frostburg State University.

The groom is a 1996 graduate of Fort Hill High School and a 2002 graduate of Frostburg State University with a bachelor’s of science degree in applied sociology. He is presently employed by CSX Transportation in Cumberland.

The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and currently reside in Frostburg.
