CUMBERLAND — Jacqueline Javor Huber and Nicholas Tyler James were united in marriage on Friday, July 11, 2008. The 5:30 p.m. ceremony was held at SS. Peter and Paul Church in Cumberland, with Father Jim Kurtz officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ed and Nancy Huber of Cumberland. The groom is the son of Dan and Hollie James, also of Cumberland. Grandparents of the bride are Sarah Javor of North Huntingdon, Pa., and Ed and Marion Huber of Navasota, Texas. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride wore a strapless, diamond white Maggie Sottero gown with a chapel train. The bodice and center back were embellished with Swarovski crystals and sequins. Her bouquet was an arrangement of roses, calla lilies and ranoculus adorned with tiny crystals in various shades of pink, green and ivory. The groom wore a black tuxedo with ivory shirt, vest and tie.

Serving as maid of honor was Kathryn Huber, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids included Lauren Whittacre, Autumn Becker and Krista Gilliam, all friends of the bride. The bridesmaids wore black, floor-length Mori Lee dresses that were accented with ivory sashes tied in the back with a large bow. They carried bouquets similar to the bride’s. Flower girls were Ashlyn Lepley and Sophia Leone.

Music before, during and after the ceremony was provided by organist Mark Steiner, harpist Sarah Thomas, and a string quartet consisting of Patricia Aaron, Charlene Moon, Karen Treber and Clare Cooper. Program attendants were Cheyenne and Morgan Snyder, cousins of the groom. Altar flowers were laid in memory of the bride’s and groom’s grandparents, John Javor, Myles Snyder and Ruth James.

Following the ceremony, guests attended a cocktail hour at the Cumberland Country Club followed by a sit-down dinner and dancing. The bride and groom danced to “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley as their first dance, followed by a father, daughter dance to Rod Stewart’s “Have I Told You Lately” and a mother, son dance to “My Wish.” Music for the night was provided by Queen City Funk and Soul.

The reception tabletops followed the black and ivory theme, with black linens and ivory overlays and chair covers. Arrangements of pink, green, and ivory roses served as the centerpieces. Floral arrangements were provided by PharmaCare Floral. The three-tier ivory- and black-trimmed cake was provided by Jennifer’s Desserts.
