FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — On Aug. 2, 2007, Judith “Jodi” Caruso and Clinton Jason Often were united in marriage at Belmont Gari Melchers Estate in Fredericksburg,.
Jodi is the daughter of Gary and Judith Filaseta, Blacklick, Ohio, and Ronald Caruso, Westerville, Ohio. She is the granddaughter of Theresa Caruso of Salem, Ohio.
Clint is the son of Bobby and Jeannie Often of Mount Savage, Md.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dan Cortez. Music was provided by Ryan Napooigano, friend of the groom.
A reception was held at Central Assembly of God Church Fellowship Hall. Jeff Hyde, friend of the groom, was master of ceremony. A special toast was given by Jeff to the bride and groom. A surprise toast was read by Judith Filaseta, mother of the bride, from Jodi’s brother, Chris Caruso, who is currently working in Mozambique, Africa, with the Peace Corp. A special slide presentation was produced and shown by Jim Bolden. The reception was catered by Debbie Dunnivan, Frostburg, Md. The wedding cake and groom’s cake were prepared by Debbie. Traditional Italian cookies were made by Jodi’s mom, Judith, and her special aunts, Barbara and Judy.
A special thanks to Lou Ann Keller, aunt of the groom, for an excellent job of coordinating the reception. Also, thanks to the following: Ernie Keller, Patti Beal, Paul and Pam Hardy, Lindsey Smith, Elaine Blank, Audrey Woodal, Heather Shaffer, Joy Twigg, and Kari Wright, for all their help.
The bride is a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, and Muskingum Ohio College. She is a teacher at Ni River Middle School, Spotslyvania.
The groom is a graduate of Mount Savage High School, Potomac State College, Lock Haven University and Frostburg State University. He is the sports information director at Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg.
The couple honeymooned in Kawai, Hawaii and resides in Fredericksburg.
Clint and Jodi would like to thank all of their families and friends who helped make their special day possible and who celebrated it with them.
