Dixon, McDonough wedding

Cumberland Times-News

LAVALE — A. Chandra Dixon and Patrick L. McDonough were united in marriage on Nov. 17, 2007. The 4 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Bernadette Ross in the LaVale Methodist Church.

Chandra is the daughter of James and Gay Dixon of Short Gap, W.Va. Patrick is the son of Linda and Bill McDonough of Meyersdale, Pa.

The ceremony began with music of the traditional “Procession March.” The first bridesmaid down the aisle was Tammy Kirk, sister-in-law of the bride. Following was Brandi Porter, Reanna Trenter, Breann Mackey and, serving as matron of honor, was Chrystal Robinette, all loyal friends of the bride. Serving as ring bearers were Justin Kirk, nephew of the bride, and Brock Robinette, godson of the bride. Following were the flower girls, Taylor Kirk, niece of the bride, and Madison Porter, friend of the bride and groom. Next, the father of the bride was escorted to the altar by Tyler Dixon, brother of the bride. The bride was escorted down the aisle by Brian Kirk, brother of the bride, to the song “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley. She was given away by her parents.

Standing alongside the groom was Josh “Peck” Decker, serving as best man. Serving as groomsmen were John Porter, Matt Emerick, Benny Lohr and Rodney Howsare, all loyal friends of the groom.

The bride wore a David’s Bridal gown, given as a gift by her grandmother, Pat Yeager. The bridesmaids wore blue-frost strapless gowns also by David’s Bridal. All flowers, bouquets, and arrangements were created by Saundra Stinnette, friend of the bride, and Tammy Kirk. All arrangements were of white and blue-frost flowers accented by lights and silver detail.

Trisha Scell attended the guest book and, following the ceremony, distributed birdseed to the guests.

Leaving the ceremony, Chandra and Patrick were chauffeured to the Maplehurst Country Club in a white limousine.

The reception was held in the ballroom of the Maplehurst Country Club, Frostburg. The room was decorated in an elegant winter theme. Left on the tables for the guests were bookmarks printed with a Biblical Scripture created by Joey Emerick, friend of the bride and groom.

Toasts were given to the couple by the best man, Peck Decker, and the matron of honor, Chrystal Robinette.

Photographs were taken by Picture Images. Providing the music was Mary Sheetz.

The wedding cake consisted of five sections and was created by M&M Bakery. Catering was done by Orchid Owls Catering.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at The Henhouse Restaurant.

The bride is a licensed cosmetologist, previously self-employed at Hair Raisers of Grantsville, Md. Currently, she is a stay-at-home mom with the couple’s first child, Tucker James McDonough.

The groom is employed by CSX as a track foreman. The couple has purchased their first home and are residing in Short Gap, W.Va.

The bride and groom deeply appreciate all the work and help they received in creating their memorable day. Thank you so much to all of our family and friends who celebrated with us.
