Laffey, Ayers wedding

LAVALE — On Dec. 1, 2007, Jaclyn Renee Ayers and Aaron Steven Laffey were united in marriage. The double ring ceremony took place at LaVale United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bernadette Ross officiating.

The bride was given away in marriage by her mother, who met her at the altar. A delicate bustle effect adorned a chapel length train. The bride also wore a cathedral length veil outlined with silver embroidery and rhinestones. The bride’s jewelry consisted of a Swarovski crystal necklace and earring set, a gift from the groom. The bride carried a porcelain calla lily bouquet adorned with Swarovski crystals. Lesa Wigger, friend of the groom, provided hairstyling for the bride.

Bridesmaids were Jenny Ayers and Jessie Cannon, sisters of the bride, and Jenna Watson, Alyssa Helmstetter, and Katie Bennett, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Alexis Robinette, niece of the groom. Kait Miller, cousin of the bride, and Trisha Root, friend of the bride, greeted guests and distributed programs and bubbles. Raleigh Loffert, friend of the bride, attended the guest book.

A memorial candle was placed on the altar in loving memory of John Ayers, father of the bride, Junior Yates, grandfather of the bride, Vincent Laffey, grandfather of the groom, and Betty Fazenbaker, grandmother of the groom.

The organist for the ceremony was Brenda Moreland. Mallory Smith provided the vocals during the ceremony. Mark and Linda Widmyer, friends of the groom, served as wedding coordinators for the wedding ceremony.

A reception immediately followed the ceremony at the Frostburg State University Lane Center. It was coordinated and catered by Marie Fouts and ARAMARK catering. The formal plated dinner included stuffed chicken and roast beef. Guests also enjoyed a slideshow presentation of Aaron and Jackie growing up, organized by the bride and groom. The centerpieces included 28” Eiffel Tower vases, filled with raspberry colored water, and topped with floral and crystal lighted arrangements.

The wedding cake, provided by Sherry Laffey of Patti Cakes, aunt of the groom, was four-tiered and accented with satin bows and monogram letter cake toppers. Two double-tiered matching cakes sat to each side of the four-tiered cake. Toni Connor, friend of the bride, designed the arbor and floral arrangements for the reception centerpieces.
