Cora Langan becomes bride of Phillip Carter

FROSTBURG — Cora Jean Langan and Phillip Aaron Carter were united in marriage June 30, 2012. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dan Agnew and took place at Emmanuel United Methodist Church.  
Cora is the daughter of James and Bonnie Langan.  She is the granddaughter of Corlista “Pat” Crowe, the late Wilfred Crowe, Margaret Langan and the late Edward “Barney” Langan.  
Phillip is the son of Donald Sr. and Judy Carter. He is the grandson of Betty White and the late Douglas Golliday, Ellen Rose Golliday and Edgar Carter.  
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a Mori Lee Touch of Color gown from Lennox East.  The corset-tied back gown was designed with a strapless sweetheart bodice, trimmed in watermelon color. The bride wore a cathedral-length veil edged with accent pearls and leopard shoes and garter.
Serving as matron of honor was Allison Malone McKenzie.  Bridesmaids were Kristan Carter, Sarah Eisel, Toni Sutton and Taylor Carter. The attendants wore strapless, watermelon-colored, full-length chiffon gowns with laced-up back and a leopard bow in their hair. The flower girls were Alysa Langan and Reese Carter.  They each wore an off-white dress, leopard shoes and bow in their hair.   
Serving as best men were Greg and Donny Carter.  The groomsmen were Ted Langan, Tony Butler and Jason Feagley.  All of the men, including the fathers of the bride and groom, wore a black tuxedo with leopard ties. The ring bearers were Mason and Drew Evans, who also wore black tuxedos.    
Erin and Debi Langan attended the guest book and distributed the programs.  Betty Langan was the soloist during the ceremony.    
Diana Agnew created the flowers and Stanley Eisel photographed and videotaped the wedding.  
Following the ceremony, the couple drove to the wedding reception at Wilhelm Recreation Center in a 1975 Stingray Corvette. Ryan Davis announced the bridal party, and the Rev. Dan Agnew delivered the blessing before the meal.  The buffet-style dinner was served by church friends:  Gail Nichols and Sharon and Stacey Malone. Graduates of the CCTE Culinary Arts Program:  Allison Moore, Miranda Slater and Josh Selby, also assisted.  “Velveeta” entertained the late night guests.  
The cake was served by Beverly Hoopengardner, Jane Farrell, and Sandy Evans.  
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents.
Cora was honored in a Hawaiian-themed bridal shower given by Allison McKenzie.  The day before the wedding, Phillip was honored with a round of golf with friends at Maplehurst Country Club.  
The bride is a graduate of Beall High School and Frostburg State University.  She is currently employed by the Allegany County Board of Education.
The groom is a graduate of Beall High School and International Culinary Academy.  He is also employed by the Allegany County Board of Education.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii on the islands of Maui and Oahu. They are currently residing in Frostburg with Daisy, their devoted dog, and two cats.
