CUMBERLAND — On June 30, 2012, Ryan Michael Bailey, formerly of Cumberland, and Leslie Suzanne Zimmerman, formerly of Potomac, were united in marriage at Brittland Manor in Chestertown. The Rev. Michael Feehley, performed the wedding ceremony.
Leslie is the daughter of Jeff and Luana Zimmerman of Potomac and the granddaughter of Tess Pack of Silver Spring, the late Louis R. Pack, and the late Austin and Elizabeth Zimmerman.
Ryan is the son of Jeff and Patty Bailey of Cumberland and the grandson of John and Mary Horwath and Dolores Bailey, all of Cumberland, and the late Edgar Bailey.
Both Leslie and Ryan were escorted by their parents.
Serving as matron and maid of honor were sisters of the bride, Lauren Farkas and Lindsey Zimmerman. Other attendants included Amber Larkin, sister of the groom, and Julie Balsam and Russell Grant, friends of the bride.
Andy Griffiths, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen, all friends of Ryan, included John Beem, Matt Bonacci, Darrin Isom and Chris Neus. Ring bearer was Owen Farkas, nephew of the bride.
A cocktail hour was held inside the manor house, followed by dinner and dancing on the patio.
After rehearsal the evening before, the groom's parents hosted a crab feast and barbecue along the Chester River on the estate grounds. The bride's parents hosted a brunch the morning after the wedding at the manor.
Ryan is a graduate of Fort Hill High School. He received his bachelor’s of science degree in journalism from West Virginia University and his master’s in business administration from Fordham University.
Leslie is a graduate of Winston Churchill High School in Potomac. She received a bachelor’s or arts degree in communications from the University of Michigan and a second undergraduate degree in interior design from Parsons The New School for Design.
The couple lives in Hoboken, N.J., and work in New York City.
