LAVALE — One year ago today, on Sept. 29, 2012, Erin Marie Riggleman wed Ryan James Foutz on a beautiful fall afternoon at the LaVale United Methodist Church. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Thomas Young of Holy Cross United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Todd and Rhonda Riggleman, Ridgeley, W.Va. Her grandparents are Tom and Joyce Riggleman of Ridgeley and Emil and Janet Krampf of Cumberland. Her great-grandparents are Pauline Kirk of Wiley Ford, W.Va., and the late Henry H. Kirk.
The groom is the son of James and Sonia Foutz, Rawlings. He is the grandson of William and Jean Foutz of Midland and the late Ernest and Geraldine Judy of Cumberland.
The bridal party walked down the aisle to “We’re in Heaven,” a candlelight mix originated by Bryan Adams and performed by organist Amy Riffle-Kouyeas. The bride wore an ivory vintage lace Mori Lee bridal gown and a floral lace hairpiece.
The maid of honor was Hallie Ann Riggleman, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Bridget Forbes, Stephanie Sindy, Melanie Ullery and Brianna Whiteman, all friends of the bride. The bridesmaids were dressed in plum tea-length dresses. The flower girl was Alyssa Riggleman, cousin of the bride.
Serving as best man was Nathan Ullery, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Eddie Davis Jr., John Hawkins, Bryan Oates and Justin Warnick, all friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Anthony Burns, friend of the bride and groom.
The guest book and program attendants were Jordan Krampf, cousin of the bride, and Ashley Riggleman, cousin of the bride. Scripture readings during the ceremony were provided by Nathan Hershberger, cousin of the bride, and Gavin and Andrew Mauzy, cousins of the groom. An acoustic performance during the unity sand ceremony, symbol of love and unity, was provided by Lisa and Zach Moreland, sister and brother-in-law of the groom.
The reception was held following the ceremony at the Cumberland Outdoor Club. Music was provided by Brian Plummer and the dinner by Shelby Gable and family.
The bride and groom would like to thank their parents, families and friends for sharing in their special day and making it one to cherish forever.
