Comstock, Heath wedding

NASHVILLE, Ten. — The Rev. and Mrs. Kenny Heath of Rawlings, Md., are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Mary Kathleen Heath, to Christopher Brian Comstock, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Kevin Comstock of Lavaca, Ark., and Mrs. and Mrs. Hans Igou of Colorado Springs, Colo.

The couple was married Aug. 23, 2013, at Bridge Community Church in Nashville.

Karissa Both of Nashville, friend of the couple, presented long-stemmed gerbera daisies to the couple’s mothers; Barbara Giles, Jacksonville, N.C., grandmother of the bride; Joann Comstock, Van Buren, Ark., grandmother of the groom; and honorary bridesmaids Sierra Green and Amanda Lippold, both of Cumberland, friends of the bride.

Clayton Heath, brother of the bride, and Zachary Comstock, brother of the groom, served as ushers.

The bride wore a re-styled white gown worn by her mother on her parents’ wedding day and a finger-tip veil with orchids in her hair.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with a purple tie and vest.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father as guests were worshiping God with the song, “The Reward of His Suffering” by Matt Papa, The song was led by John Ball of Nashville, who provided music throughout the ceremony with the assistance of Wes Banks, also of Nashville. The couple, following the example of Jesus Christ in John 13, washed each other’s feet as Pastor Fabio Nass of Lavaca explained the biblical example of service to each other.  They then served the Lord’s Supper, led by Pastor Chris White of Nashville, to their guests.  Pastor Jonathan Sutmiller, of Lavaca, officiated the exchange of vows and rings, which were presented by Dylan Adler of Nashville, friend of the couple. The service ended with “Divine Romance” by Phil Wickham.

A reception followed the ceremony at the church, catered by Hog Heaven. Fruit tea from Blue Coast Burrito was also served to commemorate how the couple met. The wedding cake was created by Linda Russell of Midland, Texas, aunt of the bride. Cousins of the bride, Angela Kinnett, Edgewood, Texas, Stephanie Melton, Midland, Krista Whitney, Tyler, Texas, and Grace Heath, Swansboro, N.C., assisted with the reception.

The reception tables featured framed maps and prayer cards representing locations and people groups the bride and groom have served in missions. Musical entertainment was provided by various friends and family including the bride, Sierra Green and Wesley Mason, both of Cumberland, Clayton Heath, Kenny Heath, Barbara Giles, Debbie Comstock, and friends from Trek-X and Bridge Community Church. Sound and live-streaming of the ceremony were provided by David Litton and Mitch Munoz of Nashville, friends of the couple. Amanda Munoz photographed the wedding.

Following a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, Mary and Christopher currently reside in Nashville where they are Trek-X missionary-students with Mobilizing Students, Inc.

The couple would like to thank everyone who made their day so special and especially God for bringing them together to serve him as a family.
