MIDLOTHIAN — One year ago today, on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, Holly Lynn Bell and Andrew William Kesner were united in marriage at Trinity Assembly of God in Midlothian. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Rob Culler. Pianist was Tom Harrison.
The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Stephanie Bell, LaVale. She is the granddaughter of Jess and Verla Williams, Midlothian, and Lynn and Anne Bell, Cambridge, Ohio.
The groom is the son of Fred Kesner of Keyser, W.Va, and Catherine Kesner, Fort Ashby, W.Va. He is the grandson of Gloria Kesner and the late Fred Kesner, Keyser, and Harold and Becky Kitzmiller, Rawlings, and the late Myrtle Kitzmiller, formerly of Elk Garden, W.Va.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride entered the sanctuary to “To a Wild Rose” by Macdowell. The bride wore “Angelina,” a Maggie Sottero gown, and a crystal-adorned veil handmade by her grandmother, Verla Williams.
Serving as maid of honor was Ellen Bell, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Leah Lechliter, sister of the groom; Lisa Binnix, Rachel (Nicol) Michaels and Sarah Newkirk, friends of the bride. Lexie and Alivia Allen, cousins of the bride, served as flower girls.
Serving as best man was Sy Farris, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Matt Lechliter, brother-in-law of the groom; and Derrick Morgan, Bob Biller and Justin Llewellyn, friends of the groom. Owen and Wyatt Lechliter, nephews of the groom, served as ring bearers.
Sara Harvey, cousin of the groom, served as an attendant. Floral creations were by Martin’s Florist and reception centerpieces were by Stephanie Bell, mother of the bride, and Nellie Whiteman, aunt of the bride. The three-tier cake was provided by Chanteclaire Farm in Friendsville. Photography was by Moriah Kasecamp of Moriah K Photography. Videography was by Jeff Hay, friend of the bride.
The bride and groom were chauffeured to the reception at Frostburg State University Lane Center by the grandfather of the bride, Jess Williams. A cocktail hour was followed by a plated dinner arranged by Pamela Detrick, catering manager. The couple would like to give a special thank you to Pam for all her expertise and professionalism throughout the planning process. Toasts were given by the bride’s father, best man, maid of honor and the groom’s sister.
The bride and groom’s first dance was to “You and I” by Michael Buble. Dinner and reception music was provided by Queen City Funk and Soul, a gift from the groom’s father, a member of the band. Guest favors included votive candles and chocolates, handmade by the mother of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant in Frostburg, the location of the couple’s first date. The dinner took place the evening before the ceremony and was hosted by the groom’s parents. A bridal shower was held in June at Trinity Assembly of God, hosted by the bride’s sister and mother.
Holly is a 2005 graduate of Beall High School and a 2009 graduate of Frostburg State University, with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She is currently employed by the federal government in Washington, D.C.
Andrew is a 2003 graduate of Frankfort High School and a 2008 graduate of West Virginia University, with a master’s of science degree in professional accountancy. He is currently employed by ASM Research, Inc., a defense contractor located in Fairfax, Va.
Holly and Andrew honeymooned at Moon Palace Resort in Cancun and currently live in their new home in Chantilly, Va., with their two dogs, Dougie and Calvin.
