Chappell, Lewis wedding

— HALF MOON BAY, Calif. — Julie R. Lewis and Kevin M. Chappell were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at sunset on the beach at Half Moon Bay. The wedding was officiated by Terry Plank. Poems were read by John Lewis, Hyndman, Pa., and Raymond Lewis, Cranberry Township, Pa., brothers of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Carolyn Lewis, Hyndman. The groom is the son of Mike and Karen Chappell, Senora, and Judi Chappell, Little Elm, Texas.

Serving as matron of honor was  Melanie Berney, friend of the bride, Midlothian, Va. Flower girls were Chloe and Abigail Lewis, nieces of the bride, Cranberry Township.

Mike Chappell, father of the groom, served as best man.

A red, white and blue patriotic theme was carried out for the wedding and reception. A lobster bake catered by Sam’s Chowder House was  enjoyed by the guests. Melanie Berney and Mike Chappell gave toasts to the couple. Carolyn Lewis read a poem and Donald Johnson gave the blessing.

The couple’s first dance was to “These Arms of Mine” by Otis Redding. The bride and her father danced to “It’s For My Dad” by Nancy Sinatra,

Guests attended from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Arizona, Virginia, Texas, Vermont, South Carolina and California.

The couple reside in San Mateo, where the bride is a manager for The Gap and the groom is a manager for CVS.
