Sullivan, Albright wedding

FLINTSTONE — On a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, April 27, 2013, Charlotte Albright and Fred Sullivan were united in marriage. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Tammy Twigg. The ceremony and reception were held at the Flintstone Firehall.

The bride was given in marriage and escorted down the aisle by her mom to “Daddy's Hands,” to bring her dad, who passed away three years ago, into the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of the late Clarence E. Teter and Wanda L. Teter, Oldtown. The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick and Florance Sullivan Sr. of Cumberland.

The bride wore a cream colored straight gown with a matching long sleeve top, laced with cream colored lace roses. The gown was a gift to the bride by a friend of the couple, Pam Dean. The bride carried a bouquet of yellow and white roses, mixed with baby's breath and lace streamers of ribbons and roses.

Debra Berg, Oldtown, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. Meghan McDonald, Winchester, Va., granddaughter of the groom, was flower girl. Both carried bouquets of yellow and white roses.

All bouquets and boutonnieres were made by Mary Boggs, daughter of bride, and Ruth Rose, sister of bride.

Chris McDonald, Winchester, Va, stepson of the groom, was best man. Tyler Hopkins, Keyser, W.Va., grandson of the bride, was ring bearer. Ushers were Brian Sullivan, son of groom, and Alvin Boggs III and Dustin Hopkins, grandsons of bride.

The guest book was attended by Megan Shambaugh, granddaughter of the bride, and Misty Smith, niece of bride. Music for the evening was provided by Frederick Sullivan III, son of the groom.

“From This Moment” played as bride and groom lit the unity candle, then Dianna Hopkins, daughter of bride, sang “From This Moment.”

To finish out the ceremony, and as a surprise to his bride, the bridegroom sang “Twelfth of Never.” The bride and groom proceeded out as the song continued to play in memory of the groom’s parents. It was a very special song to them.

The bride and groom danced their first dance together as husband and wife to “Unchained Melody.”

The bride, groom and families released balloons joined by a ribbon reading “Two Hearts Become One.” Toasts were given by Chris McDonald and Debra Berg. The cake was beautifully prepared and served by Mary Valentine, sister of bride. Food was served by the bride’s sisters, Ramona Lavin, Mary Valentine, Ruth Rose, Sherrie Rose and Shelly Caton.

They bride and groom want to thank all those who celebrated with them  on their special day. They also would like to thank all their families and friends who helped decorate the hall so beautifully, all who took pictures, stayed to help clean up, and helped in any way.

The couple were given surprise bachelorette and bachelor parties by friends and family.

Charlotte and Fred  honeymooned in Maryland and West Virginia.

The couple now resides in Cumberland.
