Charlotte L. "Sharky" White Hutton [Berea]

BEREA, Ohio - Charlotte Lee "Sharky" White Hutton, 88, of Berea, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008, at Kemper House, Berea.

Born Feb. 12, 1920, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Blanche and Melvin Coffman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Hutton in 1995; one brother, Cecil Coffman and wife Dorothy; and one sister, Marguerite.

Charlotte was well known in town for her bowling trophies won at tournaments held at Tommy Lloyd's Bowling Alley on Virginia Avenue in the 40s and 50s.

Surviving are one daughter, Sandra Marek and husband Tom, Berea; five grandchildren, Shawn Downs and wife Ellen, Charlotte, N.C., Thomas Marek and wife Jennifer, Cleveland, Christopher Downs and wife Tricia, Columbia, S.C., Cheryl Rabun and husband Michael, Gaston, S.C., and Fred R. Downs, Gasonia, S.C.; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
