David P. Brandlen [Luke]

LUKE - David Paul Brandlen, 54, of 311 Pratt St., Luke, passed away Monday, July 14, 2008, in Westernport.

Born Dec. 6, 1953, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of Robert and Mary (Jack) Brandlen, of Bloomington.

David was a 1972 graduate of Bruce High School. He was a United States Army veteran, and was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of Kelly Mansfield Post 52 American Legion, Piedmont, W.Va.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Mary, he leaves behind a son, James David Brandlen and wife Sherry, of Douglasville, Pa.; a daughter, Christina Marie Brandlen, of Royers Ford, Pa.; and two brothers, John Thomas Brandlen and wife Tonia, of Westernport, and Robert Steven Brandlen, of Bloomington. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alyssa Brandlen, Keegan Kling, and Ayden Kling; a special friend, Barbara Moore; and his special nieces, Jackie Brandlen, Jennifer Dunn, and Jessica Brandlen.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Harry Coleman officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, W.Va.
