SALISBURY, Pa. — Edna Marcella Housel, 80, of Salisbury, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.
Born March 24, 1928, in Meyersdale, she was the daughter of the late Royden Elmer and Bessie Matilda (Keefer) Glessner. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jane Delores Glessner, Jean Glessner and Vella Ruth Lenhart; one brother, Donald Glessner; and two half brothers, Jack Rourke and Alden Glessner.
Mrs. Housel was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and was a retired seamstress for Flushing Shirt Factory, Grantsville, Md.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Housel; one brother, Gene Glessner, Pittsburgh; one sister, Nellie Lottig, St. Paul.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Wanda Lester officiating.
Interment will be in the Salisbury Cemetery.
