  • PSC can’t keep up with Patrick Henry
Patrick Henry outscored Potomac State 43-29 in the second half to double it’s lead from halftime and win running away from the Catamounts with a 98-70 final Thursday in Martinsville.

  • AC falls at Vincennes; FSU women win debut
A bad end of the first half and a significant advantage at the foul line led Vincennes University to a 74-63 win over Allegany College of Maryland in college men’s basketball Saturday night in the Vincennes Classic.

  • UConn wins NCAA title
With one final blowout, UConn grabbed the national title and a piece of basketball history.

  • Connecticut, Louisville reach women’s final
One more game, and Connecticut has the perfect finish.

  • Maryland breezes past Dartmouth
Kristi Toliver felt like she couldn’t miss, and her Maryland teammates were more than happy to make sure the senior guard had every opportunity to play out the hunch.
Toliver scored 27 points on 11-for-14 shooting, and the third-ranked Terrapins opened the NCAA tournament by cruising past Dartmouth 82-53 Sunday.

  • Slow start dooms Lady Trojans, 64-51
Head Coach Garett Sherman’s biggest fear of a slow Allegany start was realized Wednesday in the opening round of the NJCAA Division II Tournament when, despite a furious charge early in the second half, the Trojans lost for the first time this season, 64-51, to the Community College of Rhode Island.

  • Women rally to beat Cecil
The unbeaten Allegany College of Maryland women’s basketball team will be taking the school-record winning streak to Illinois for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament after coming from behind to beat Cecil College, 59-54, for the Region XX Tournament championship Sunday at Frederick Community College.

  • Coleman, Maryland beat Duke in OT, 92-89
Using the tip in a pep talk by former Terrapins football star LaMont Jordan, Maryland’s players converged at midcourt before the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game Sunday and started to scuff the league logo.

  • Terrapins defeat defending champ Tar Heels, 95-84
Marissa Coleman and Kristi Toliver have done just about everything in four years at Maryland — with one notable exception. One more victory, and they’ll take care of that one, too.
