Hillman powers Garrett past Rockville, 73-57

MCHENRY - Tegra Hillman flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 20 points, 14 rebounds, eight steals and six assists to lead Garrett College to a 73-57 win over Montgomery-Rockville in scored 20 points, grabbed 14 rebounds in a Maryland JUCO Conference game Saturday night.
Hillman made five field goals and went 10-for-15 from the free-throw line as the Lakers improved to 12-1 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
Blair Bradley added 13 points, six assists and five steals, Tanika Jeffers had 11 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, and Christina Spencer 10 points for Garrett. Mindy Sharp chipped in with eight points and a team-high 15 rebounds.
Melissa Wetherman scored 20 points and Derica Dixon had 17 for Rockville.
Garrett plays again Wednesday, at Hagerstown, at 8 p.m.
