Catamounts Win Again

McKim's 31 leads PSC over Howard

KEYSER - Amanda McKim scored 31 points in what Potomac State's head coach Jim Walton called a turnaround game for his team as the Catamounts beat Howard Community College 88-67 Monday afternoon for their fifth straight win.

Only five Lady Cats scored, but they finished over 50 percent by making 32-of-61 shots, including 5-for-6 behind the three-point line. McKim added 12 rebounds to her 31 points, and Julieanne Buckley finished with 21 points, three assists and three steals. Ashley Heavener totaled 17 points and nine rebounds, and Denise Johnson had 16 points, six assists and four steals.

"We showed a lot of unselfishness today," added Walton. "We played as a team, and made some real good decisions in selecting out shots. As a team, we seem to be putting it all together."

Amanda Schwartz, and Janelle Klipstine each scored 22 points to lead Howard. Jess Nuinley scored 10 points.

Potomac State (11-5) will play again tonight at CCAC-Boyce before playing Thursday and Saturday for four games in one week's time.
