Potomac State tops CCAC-Allegheny, 85-48

KEYSER, W.Va. - Six of the seven players that scored for Potomac State reached double-figures as the Catamounts got within one game of finishing the season undefeated in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference by beating CCAC Allegheny 85-48 Wednesday evening.
Denise Johnson led the Cats with 17 points, while Julieanne Buckley, Ashley Heavener and Amanda McKim scored 14 points. Madelynn Crosby scored 13 points and totaled nine rebounds, and Kathy Clarke added 12 points.
With PSC winding down the regular season, coach Jim Walton is preparing his team for the postseason. "We are trying to work on our weaknesses right now. We have some competitive games coming up, and we're trying to prepare for those right now."
C. Ransan scored a game high 23 points for Allegheny.
Potomac State (14-7, 9-0 WPCC) will play at Cecil on Friday before hosting Butler County in its final regular season conference game.
