SHORT GAP, W.Va. - Frankfort's Ben Snoberger won first place in the 152-pound class and Alec Peer was runner-up in the 125 division in the Calhoun County Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
Snoberger pinned Ryan Sweaker of Braxton in the first round and Logan Bowie of St. Marys in the semifinals before winning a 7-2 decision over Jeff Goodrich of Calhoun in the championship match.
Peer pinned Noah Ingram of Fayetteville and beat Sean Gungle of Calhoun 7-1 to get the 125 final, which he lost an 11-7 decision to Randy Ferrill of Greenbrier West.
Calhoun County won the team title and Berkeley Springs was second. Frankfort placed eighth.
The Falcons wrestle again Friday and Saturday in the Petersburg Smash.
