Hyndman, Northern compete in Bedford

BEDFORD, Pa. - Hyndman's Logan Sheldon won the 135 pound division and two Northern wrestlers tasted defeat for the first time this season in the Thomas Invitational held this weekend at Bedford High School.

Hyndman finished 16th and Northern was 18th out of the 25-team field won by host Bedford with 192 points. Chestnut Ridge was second with 156.5, North Star (149) was third and Jefferson (148.5) fourth. Complete team scores can be found in today's Scoreboard section.

Andrew Ganoe (152) and Dustin Stough (160) each finished third in their respective divisions and each came home with 23-1 individual season records.

The Hornets' Cody Weaverling finished second in the 285-pound division.

Northern's Josh Duckworth was fifth (119) and Jason Opel took seventh (171).

The Huskies will wrestle at Fort Hill Wednesday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
