Mountain Ridge takes down Winters Mill, ups record to 23-3

WESTMINSTER - Mountain Ridge came home a 45-24 winner over Winters Mill Wednesday night in high school wrestling action to improve to 23-3 on the season.

Winning by pin for the Miners were Brandon Kyle (160-pound division), Justin Blubaugh (171), Nathan Payne (215) and Derrick Sisk (285).

Glenn Johnson (112), Cody Clise (125) and Stephen Whetstone (140) won by major decision. Noah Devore (189) took a decision, while Tom Patterson (103) won by forfeit.

Mountain Ridge will wrestle Middletown and Thomas Stone on Saturday, 1 p.m., at Middletown.
