— MIDDLETOWN - Mountain Ridge collected two wins, 63-9 over Thomas Stone and 44-32 against Middletown, Saturday at Middletown as the Miners finished their regular season at 24-3.
Stephen Whetstone picked up two pins in the 140-pound class to improve his season record to 31-0. Noah DeVore recorded his 100th win with a 4-0 decision against Thomas Stone and is 30-1 on the year.
Ryan Clark won two matches in the 119-pound division, and Adam Kolberg won twice in the 145.
Aaron Patterson (135) pinned his opponent in the win over Middletown, Josh Guy (152) and Brandon Kyle (160) also won by pins against Middletown.
The Miners finished second in the Maryland 2A/1A West Region and will wrestle No. 3 South Carroll (11-3) in the West Region Dual Tournament on Wednesday, at Southern. No. 1 Southern (14-0) will wrestle No. 4 Williamsport (11-3) at 5:30, with the winners of each match wrestling in the final at 7:30.
