FROSTBURG - Mountain Ridge's Aaron Patterson scored his 100th career wrestling win with a 3-0 decision over Adam Moranduzzo of Northern in last week's Bi-County Tournament.
The landmark win came in the finals of the 135-pound weight division, and raised Patterson's season record to 30-3, and his career record to 100-32.
Patterson is the third Mountain Ridge wrestler this year to reach 100 career victories. The other two are Noah DeVore and Stephen Whetstone.
DeVore is 34-1 this year and is 104-20 in his career. Whetstone is 35-0 this year, and 114-17 for his career.
Like Patterson, DeVore (215) and Whetstone (140) were also Bi-County tournament champions.
High school wrestling leaders appear on page 4D.
Mountain Ridge will host the Maryland regional championship tournament on Friday and Saturday.
