Williamsport wrestlers beat FH

CUMBERLAND — Williamsport won five straight weight classes Thursday evening as the Wildcats handed Fort Hill a 42-30 loss in the Sentinels’ home gym.

Williamsport won four of the six lightest weight classes, and then won four of the six heaviest.

Antonio Candler pinned his opponent to win the 103-pound class, and Andrew Harper won the 119 division in 1:31. Fort Hill wouldn’t win another match until Dylan Appel won the 140-pound class with a 3-1 decision, and Jacob Appel won the 145 in 3:13.

The Sentinels won the two heaviest matches with Daniel Leasure winning 6-3 in the 215-pound class, and Robert Lowery the 285 in 1:57.

Fort Hill will host the Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament on Jan. 4-5.
